Yesterday Stuff

Hey, today (Saturday) was really fun! Well I actually cannot post this entry right now but I will tomorrow morning as soon as I can reboot my router.

At first I was thinking "ugh my Saturday iss going to be a complete waste". I originally planned to go to Indiana, with my Flute Teacher, for a new flute. But she called and cancelled.

So I finished reading Speak. The emotions were striking. While I dont know what its like to be raped or what its like to have your friends desert you completely, it has always been my worst fear (and the worst fear of any sane person). Then I added a zillion new songs to my iPod. Some of them are good. I got bands like Dashboard Confessional (Confessionals?) and Five For Fightiing. After that I took a much needed trip to Target to get birthday presents for the five July b-days I need to take care of.

And then I went to a July birthday party. Christina's. Christina goes to my new church. I found out today that its called The International Church. Its full of white people, who were missionaries that grew up in Africa or Thailand, and Asian people. She turned 17 today. It was really fun.
Sherry's dad gave me a ride, except I had to go with her to her piano lesson too. I watched the White Sox sweep the Indians, dated my new undated planner, had a staring contest with the piano teacher's baby.
We got to the party early, which was in Lyons. It was going to be a surprise party and Christina's mother, Barbara, was freaking out about decorations. So Sherry and I set up the blue and green streamers and then some more people came and helped us put up balloons. When Christina did arrive nobody was sure when to spring out and say "surprise". That didnt go too well...
After playing Guesstures (like a cross between pictionary and sherades) and eating pizza (had two slices: one pineapple one bacon) we went into Christina's backyard and bounced around on her trampoline, which is so awesome (if my kids grow up in suburbia i'm getting a tramp). After we got tired, Barbara handed out these little things to blow up and silly string, fun fun fun. Then we went back inside and played Star Trek Uno with weird cards like "Beam Me Up, Scotty".
The cake was really good except I ate too much pizza (sob). Sherry baked a cake and it looked store bought, it was so perfect and yummy. Then I had a fudge brownie. And two cups of water. Mmm. We were all sitting around the living room passing around a weird frisbee thing and a squishy football thing when somebody brought up the idea of going outside. About a block away (running recklessly across some big intersections) was a field. We played ultimate frisbee with this little ball (tennis ball sized), because it lit up (by this time it was too dark to see anything else, and i mean it was DARK scary). Christina and Brian picked teams. Brian picked me because he's like "Chinese people are good at everything", yay! I was actually really bad at it but it was fun and we all worked up a sweat (bad day to wear pants xX). A guy named Shawn was on my team, his nickname was Shreddy, isnt that awesome? Matt, Christina's little brother, was really good at catching. Brian caught one even though he was in crutches (gasp). Jeremy, on the other team, was great. He would holler and jump in front of Chris, the person hew as defending, and Chris would be all freaked out and fumble. Eventually people dropped out and we just decided to hike back to Christina's.
So we have another little transitional faze and then somebody brings up "lets play spoons!". Sherry and I totally owned. For the first 4 rounds it was either her or me, and we got a spoon every time. Brian, a white person who goes to a Chinese church in Oak Park, was like "see i told you those asians are good at everything". A weird annoying kid, Chris, lost everytime for the first few rounds.
Eventually James, who was driving Sherry and I home, said he had to go.

That was a really fun party :D
