Woah I have not updated this thing in forever.
I guess I'll go over the previous week?
Monday: Got back to school. I think this is the point at which I got depressed for being too AntiSocial? Or was this last week, hmm. Anyway, I just sort of floated in jelly doing homework and stuff. It was a pseudo low point.
Tuesday: Was nervous all day about Cross Country meet. I was the last person to qualify for Varsity or something like that. Went to the meet and did 39th, which wasn't awful. I came in 7th for IMSA, which means I made Varsity, at least for the next meet. 3 miles in just under 25 minutes, it's actually a really crappy time (despite the huge hill we went over twice). Lisa did 21 min, and was disappointed. Later on that night a whole bunch of people were caught, or accused of, drinking outside on the 05 Slabs. I heard there were at least six arrests. Taylor was accused, tested clean and got back around 4:30 AM she said.
Wednesday: Had first I-Day. Besides early morning Cross Country practice it was pretty boring. Later in the afternoon Sharon, Jing and I met up to "study" but then David Chang came out of nowhere and started talking to us. We were joined soon after by Cliff and Alan and out of nowhere came people returning with bubble tea from some chinese place. Alan called up his parents and got them to order Chinese food for us. Cliff, David and I then had to leave for Cross Country practice where I ran 53 minutes (incline after decline after incline, touch stuff). When we came back I called Alan and then David and I sprinted to 05 for Chinese food, Rachel and Cliff in tow.
Thursday: Swing Dance Club had a meeting from 9-10. I got Alan to come with and they taught us to swing dance. It was really fun, albeit the fact that I am uncoordinated with slow reflexes and loose arms. Oh I think I forgot everything too o0o;;. Rock step step step? Argh, ah well.
Friday: A whole bunch of people went home but I didnt because there was Saturday Cross Country meet. Instead I followed Rachel, Frances-Mei, Cliff, Louis, Tucker, Tyce and others to the Hexagon (a hexagonal patch of concrete between No Pond and Hill). Coincidentally we ended up playing the Belly Game and I joined in because it reminded me of Whitney Young; Frances-Mei and Tyce thought it was weird and left. Then everybody was "petting" eachother because it was a level 1 offense and thus really funny. By this time Rachel was on my stomach and I couldn't get out of it without disrupting the chain so I had to sit through an hour of the most boring, repetitive, dirty/sexual joke/conversation. Finally, I had enough and got up. Tucker was lying in a corner the entire time so I asked if he wanted to walk back. I'm glad he agreed with me that the conversation was unnecessary, ridiculous, repetitive and pointless. We foun Rima, Colin and some other people playing soccer with Rima's volleyball. Rima and I stood at the center, we were the "goals". Soon it was 11:00 and I left to get sleep for the race day.
Saturday: Race day did not go so well. Practice on Friday did something to my left lower-calf/ankle, I didn't really think it was a big deal though. After running the 3 mi in 24:56 (no improvement), I had a limp that I still do now. Sigh. Placing 42nd was a disappointment too, but 42 is a special number (9+12+9+12). Watched IMSA Soccer play some guys in brown uniforms. They were down 0-1 until the last 2 seconds where some guy got a penalty shot in. Two 5 minute sudden-deaths were played, no goal. I left after that. On the Pace bus I didnt have any change but the guy said they were running a promotion for students so I got on for free. At the Metra station I got ticket for $2.45 and fell asleep on the train. Union Station was end of the line and someone was kind enough to wake me up. I was exhausted that day.
So besides the limp I retained I guess I'm okay. I completed most of my homework and will be catching the 6:30 metra back to Aurora. Peace!
